As a senior in high school, I was enrolled in Studio Art courses and knew that I wanted to be an Elementary Visual Arts Teacher. I applied to New England colleges with programs leading to certification in Art Education. -
Emmanuel College Acceptance and Admission
After being accepted to Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts, I sent in a letter of admission and committed to attending the school. I planned on studying Art Education. -
Emmanuel College-The Undergraduate Journey Begins!
I moved onto the college campus and began my studies as an undergraduate student at Emmanuel College. -
Studio Assistant
I began my role as a studio assistant in the art department at Emmanuel College. I worked with faculty members to develop assignments for students and maintained the studio spaces and ceramic kilns. This sparked my interest in ceramics! -
Art History Tutor
I began my role as an Art History Tutor at Emmanuel College. I tutored courses that include Modern Art, Survey of Western Art I, Survey of Western Art II, and Catholic Art Traditions. I realized at this time that I wanted to minor in Art History. -
Student Teaching Practicum!
I began my student teaching practicum at Weston Elementary School in Manchester, NH working with students grades K-5. I enjoyed evey moment of this experience, including implementing an afterschool art enrichment program for students in fourth and fifth grades! -
Distinction in the Field!
The culmination of my undergraduate art studies: a senior distinction project in ceramics. A ceramic installation involving the evolution of life forms. A college graduate! -
Officially an Art Teacher
Art Teacher Certification arrives in the mail! I am officially a certified art teacher in Massachusetts and New Hampshire! -

The start of my M.Ed at Rivier University. Studies include Elementary and Special Education -
