20s
In my 20's I'll probably be busy with school and a career, so I'll need to take time to relax and get enough sleep. I'll also need to pay attention to what I eat, because even if I have a fast metabolism in my 20's, it'll slow down. Exercise is important at every stage of life, but in my 20's, I can achieve the best shape of my life. I'll encounter opportunities to drink or do drugs, but I shouldn't take them. I also need to see a doctor regularly, practice safe sex, and wear skin protection. -
30s
In my 30s I'll probably be busy with a career and maybe family, so it'll be important to take time for my health. My metabolism will start to slow down so I'll need to make sure I get enough exercise and eat right. I shouldn't smoke or drink because those kinds of activities will have an even more severe effect on my health, and I should see a doctor more frequently and still wear sunscreen and practice safe sex. I also need to make sure I use safety equipment and don't overwork on weekends. -
40s
My 40s will be an important decade for preventing health problems in the future. I should know my family history in case I'm at risk for later disease. I should wear sunscreen to prevent cancer, see a doctor to prevent common issues for this decade like back pain and to get screened for other illnesses, and still practice safe sex. -
50s
One I'm in my 50's I'm officially old and everything is starting to stop working. I'll need to keep eating right, stay physically and mentally active, avoid smoking, get enough sleep, and watch out for numerous chronic health concerns by seeing my doctor regularly. I don't want to slow down but I do need to be more careful with my health and weight than I did in earlier decades. -
60s
It's easy to imagine my 60s as a decade of old age relaxation but actually I could probably still be working because of the rising retirement age. The 60s are a decade of concerns both health-realted and financial. The risk for longterm illness or chronic disease increases drastically at this time, and it's not uncommon for people to take on new expenditures like their kids moving back in. It's important to exercise, eat right, and be safe to protect your declining body.
