My 20s will be the peak of my life, and I will be faced with many different issues and concerns. This is why it is crucial to stay healthy- physically, mentally, and emotionally. I will focus on making good lifestyle choices, being careful in avoiding injuries, and following recommendations for preventative care. -

During the peak of my life, I will eat a healthy diet to reduce my risk for heart disease and diabetes.
I will exercise regularly, maintain a healthy weight with limited fast foods and plenty of lean protein, and take recommended supplements.
I will avoid indoor tanning, accidental injuries, and smoking to ensure my body stays healthy for the future.
I will maintain good hygiene, have a medical check-up every 2 years, receive a blood pressure screening, and a gynecological exam. -
Start of 30s Care
My 30s will be a busy time in my life. I will be well on my way on the life path I have chosen, with a successful career and a loving family. This will come with many responsibilities and a busy schedule which will make it hard to maintain a healthy balance in my life. But, I will take good care of myself and make good lifestyle choices in order to reduce my risk for chronic health problems in the future, thus setting the foundation for a long, healthy life. -

During this eventful time, I will eat a healthy and balanced diet, and begin to take essential vitamins as supplements. I will reduce the amount of processed foods and the amount of salt in my diet.
I will exercise 60 minutes most days to lower my risk for heart diseases, cancer, and osteoporosis. I will continue to play tennis as well as lift weights to boost metabolism.
I will make sure to follow safety regulations and visit a doctor every 2 years, a dentist yearly, and receive screenings. -
Start of 40s Care
My 40s will be the transition from adulthood to middle-age. It will be crucial for me to prevent health problems which will become more prevalent later in life. I will continue to make healthy lifestyle choices, contact my health care provider often, and use common sense in maintaining my safety. It would be helpful for me to look into my family health history to see if I am at risk for certain health problems, as well as continue to pay attention to laws, rules, and regulations. -

My 40s
I will be at risk for many health problems in my 40s including diabetes, chronic pain, stress, high blood pressure, and skin problems. To prevent diabetes, I will maintain a balanced diet, limit processed foods and exercise daily for at least 30 minutes.
I will attend a physical exam every 2 years, a dental exam yearly, an eye exam yearly due to the fact that I have corrective lenses, and stay up to date on any immunizations as well as get screenings, such as breast exams, Paps, or mammograms. -

My 50s will be a big time in my life where I will go through a lot of change. My children will be grown up, my parents' health may be failing, and most of all, my body will be changing. I will be more at risk for chronic health problems, but I will lower my risk by taking care of my physical, mental, and emotional health, as well as letting my doctor know about any questions or concerns I have about my health. -

During my 60s, I plan on retiring. My life will change singificantly, as I will have more leisure time to enjoy playing a game of tennis, visiting my grandchildren, or even tending a garden. I will have to be more careful in caring for myself as my physical and mental health will decline. However, my 60s will be a time to enjoy, especially because I have made healthy lifestyle choices throughout my life. -

I will limit processed foods and foods high in fat or sugar to maintain good nutrition as I become elderly.
I will exercise 30 minutes most days of the week by walking, swimmin,g or bowling.
I will see my doctor regularly for check-ups, health screenings, diagnostic tests, ad immunizations due to the fact that I will be more prone to heart disease, arthritis, and diabetes. I will furthur prevent these health problems by learning about the warning signs and talking to my doctor.
