-Maintain a healthy weigh because metabolism slows down at this age.
Preventative Health Care-
-Wear sunscreen to prevent skin cancer.
-Take care of mental and emotional health. In your 30's people tend to become more stressed as jobs get more serious and they start building a family.
-Continue attending the gynecologist and receiving breast exams/ Talk to health care provider about before getting pregnant.
-Continue receiving dental checkups, vision/hearing exams, and cholesterol screening. -
Turn 40

40's
-Be aware of family medical history, signs could start showing at this age.
-Watch for chronic pain- it can lead to arthritis, back pain, tendonitis, etc.
-Be aware of other common health conditions for people in their 40's (osteoporosis, sexual health problems, skin conditions, etc.)
Preventative Health Care-
-Continue with routine health care (dental & doctor checkups, etc.)
-An annual clinical breast exam, pelvic exam, and mammogram
-Beginning at 45 an annual colorectal cancer screening -
Turn 50

-Consider a diet because at this age we tend to replace muscle w/ fat and weight gain can increase
-Continue getting enough sleep & coping with stress
Preventative Health Care-
-Continue receiving all the checkups and screenings as done in 40's
Common Health Problems-
-Menopause (Average age is 51, may cause weight gain, heat flashes, etc.)
-Cancer risk increases
-Depression and Anxiety
-Start receiving a colonoscopy every 10 years staring at age 50

Turn 60

-Continue eating healthy an exercising
-Protect your heart because there is a huge increase in heart risk at thing age with heart disease.
Preventative Health Care-
-Be sure to continue attending regular checkups and screenings
-Added vaccines like Pneumonia (age 65) and Shingles (age 60)
-Continue keeping up with your health care provider and follow their recommendations about tests and screenings.
-Begin getting a bone density tests. At this age the bones in our bodies start to deteriorate.
