    I took my first step.
  • Psychosocial

I'm told I was afraid of strangers at this age.
  • Cognitive

I spoke my first word, "ball."
  • Period: to

    The Play Years

  • Biosocial

I enjoyed artistic expression, especially painting and drawing. I also enjoyed making a mess of things! I still have an old plate that I created back then with a bunch of scribbles/"artwork" on it.
  • Psychosocial

I fought with my brother constantly over toys (this was the beginning of a long and hard-fought sibling struggle that would last for many years).
  • Cognitive

My language explosion occured around this time.
  • Biosocial

I started playing organized sports, particulary hockey. I still play today!
  • Cognitive

I started studying for school. I remember sitting downstairs by a television writing words 10 times each as my way of studying for spelling tests.
  • Period: to

    The School Years

  • Psychosocial

First time I can remember harmful teasing in school. I was being teased about my weight. I ended up getting in a "fight," which saw me push the teaser and he accidentally tripped over a stick.
  • Period: to

    Adolescence

  • Biosocial

I underwent a growth spurt. I began high school I believe around 5'6, and left it at 5'11. Also somewhere near the midpoint of this timespan, I gained a better control on my nutrition and lost 50lbs.
  • Cognitive

Friends started to smoke cigarettes, always saying they were just smoking on a short term basis. I know multiple of these people who still smoke today.
  • Psychosocial

    First girlfriend. Aww...
  • Period: to

    Emerging Adulthood

  • Cognitive

I have changed my college plans multiple times, indicating my continuing cognitive development.
  • Psychosocial

I had my first experience with cohabitation. Still cohabiting today!
  • Biosocial

I started engaging in regular exercise. I have maintained a somewhat consistent regiment over the past couple years.
  • Biosocial

I hope to achieve a high socioeconomic status. I believe I am on a good path to accomplish this goal.
  • Period: to

    Adulthood

  • Cognitive

I hope to become a "selective expert" in fields in which I excell.
  • Psychosocial

I hope to have a tight-knit family and support system. The absence of such a thing has been shown to be very detrimental in multiple ways.
  • Period: to

    Late Adulthood

  • Cognitive

I hope to not be predisposed to old ideas, but to consider new thoughts and make rational decisions analyzing all the facts in my decisions.
  • Biosocial

I hope to be still following an exercise regiment, meet all my nutrition needs, and to have a good self-perception.
  • Psychosocial

I hope to feel pride and content while looking back on an overview of my life and accomplishments.
  • Death

The End. I predict this year due to the Life Expectancy Calculator giving me an estimate of living for 87 years, plus an extra few years for wishful thinking. I hope to maintain my healthy and satisfactory lifestyle for as long as possible. By this point, I hope to have truly accepted death as just another part of life.
