Pocahontas' tribe captured John Smith because there were hostilities between the Indians and the newcomers. She saved him by throwing herself in front of him. -
Pocahontas helps
Pocahontas visits Jamestown after she rescues John Smith. She became close with the colonist.During the winter time she would send food to the struggling colonist. She also stayed at their camps and entertain and play with the children. -
Pocahontas gets captured
Pocahontas is captured by Sir Samuel Argall. Her rank allowed her to be treated fairly and respectfully. This event resulted in peace which allowed them to trade peacefully. Pocahontas also became a Christian. -

She was held in captivity for a year then finally confronted her father. Her father refused to make trades to bring Pocahontas home so she decided to stay with English for good. -

After Pocahontas marries John Rolfe, the tension with the other Indian tribes dies down. Their marriage brought peace to people for a short amount of time. -

when returning from Virginia, Pocahontas becomes very ill and she dies. She was buried in England. -

She was buried at an English church in Gravesend. A fire that destroyed the church which lead to them losing Pocahontas' burial spot.
