    Age 13-15
My older sister started to experiment with illegal drugs. I became the leader of the household; doing all housework, taking care of my younger sibling and my homework. It shaped who I am today by seeing the effects that drugs can have on people. This event effected the mircosystem and mesosystem due to effect my family as well as my performance at school and my lack of peer groups during this time due to the demands at home. At age 20, I experienced being assaulted by my then boyfriend of 2 years. We lived together at this time. The entire relationship was very controlling and abusive. Going through this experience has taught me about my own self-worth and the love that I deserve. This experience opened my eyes to the importance of trust as I lost all trust in relationships after this event. It effected me at the mircosystem level.

I moved to Green Bay, WI away from my family/friends. Moving here, I didn't have any supports or know anyone in the area. I felt alone most of the time until I became established with the city and the people that I work with. From this event I learned that doing things outside of your comfort zone is challenging. I gained new friendships and learned a lot about myself during this transition. It effected me at micro-, meso- and exosystems.

The birth of Ryleigh Christine Schreiber, my daughter. This life event changed my role as an individual. I went from a single person, not having to worry or care for anyone but myself to a new mother. It effected levels on the Micro-, meso- and exosystem. I now had an infant depend on me to care of all their basic needs as well as having other priorities that come along with my roles at work. I learned the true meaning of love and affection.
