Lewis Joined Clark
1803 Lewis asked William Clark to join his expedition. Lewis asked Clark which was a military leader and explorer to join is journey. Lewis had to expect Clarks commands. -
Annoucment
Lewis and Clark annouced The Lousianna Purchase on this day. Thorugh July and August they made a plan and recuited about 40 men. They made Camp Wood for the men to get ready for the expedition. -
Starting the Journey
Lewis and Clark started there Journey at the missouri river. The land streched from the missouri to the pacific ocean. By the 4th of July they started the Journey west of the Missouri river. -
Giving and Recieving
Lewis and Clark gave gifts to the Idians to come along on the journey, They met there friend Yankton Souix on the way. They also met Teton Souix and Chief Balck Buffalo. -
Sending Men
Lewis and Clark sent 12 men back home with maps and other things from the begging of the journey. While they were heading back home others went over the river. -
Sacagawea
They are accompanied by Sacagawea and their newborn baby, Jean-Baptiste. Arriving at 3 forks of the Missouri River which they name the Gallatin. The expedition continues southwest, up the Jefferson -
Shoshone Indians
Sacagawea recognized the Beaverhead Rock marking the headwaters of the Missouri. It also was the home of the Shoshone Indians. Lewis looked ahead of the expedition. -
Meeting the Brother.
On the expedition they met the Shoshone chief Cameahwait, who is Sacagawea's brother. Lewis and Clark name the site Camp Fortunate. Then they went across the harsh mountains until they reach the Columbia River. -
Journal
Clark writes his most famous journal "Ocean in view! O! the joy."
The Clark and Lewis expeditioncame across bad storms that halt their progress for nearly 3 weeks. President Jefferson receives a delegation of Missouri. -

Lewis takes the shortcut to the Great Falls, and the Maris River whilst Clark follows the the Yellowstone River. They met up about around the yellow stone mouth. -
Leaving the Journey
Lewis was accidently shot by a member.Sacagwea and the baby left the journey to head back home their own way. After this the Journey had ended by St. Louis. -
Lewis & Clark Expedition ended
September 23rd is the day that Clark and Lewis met there destanation.They hit St.Louis after two years, four months, and ten days. -

He married Hancock and had five kids. After she died he married his first cousin and had three kids with her.September first Clark died in St. Louis
