They met over 50 tribes of indians. They experienced most of the western states and learned more about tribes and indians. -

Lewis and Clark came into their grounds and the women were at first scared of them. They layed their guns down and painted symbols on their face that meant peace. The women were then not scared and welcomed them with an American flag. -
Native Tribe aided Corps
The Clatsops helped Lewis and Clark discover where the most Elk would be to hunt. Food supplies were getting low and the Clatsops informed them that a whale washed up on shore. They helped them find food often. -
Weather
Lewis and Clark were in Fort Clatsop for 106 days. All of those days except 12 were rainy. It would rain all dya affecting their crops and shelter. -

Lewis found a plant called perennial fla. He recorded in his journal that it could be used to make flax. These flax fibers were used to weave fishing nets, ropes, etc. -
Lewis and Reuben Killed two men
The Americans sent a threat to the blackfeet tribe. The blackfeet went to go still the weapons from the Americans and in all the chaos Lewis and Reuben Field killed two of the warriors. -
When a baby ws born
6 years after Sacagawea helped with the expedition she had her baby girl.They were in Fort Manuel now known as South Dakota.
