Television
Television was the first kind of media that I was introduced to when I was 6. Back then, I was always in front of the box-shaped TV watching cartoons through a cable. My favorite shows were "Phineas and Ferb" and "Tom and Jerry". -
Flappy Bird
I was 7 when I started using cellphones. I still don't have my own phone when I was a 7 so I used to borrow my mom's phone. The most popular app that time was Flappy Bird. It was so popular that the creator of the app decided to delete it because he felt guilty that people were too addicted to it. I remember my highest score in the app being 50 at that time. -
Facebook
When I was 8, My aunt made a Facebook account using my name because she was just bored. My friends that time were only my family members but unfortunately, I don't use that account anymore because I forgot its password. -
Cut the Rope
When I was 9, I was already in 4th grade and that was when I was given an iPad. I was really addicted to many games like Fruit Ninja and Hungry Shark but the game I played the most was Cut the rope. I remember being frustrated every time it falls, so I think that's when my anger issues began. -
Musical.ly
When I was in 5th grade, everybody in our class were using this app so I decided to download it too. It is just like TikTok but it was more fun before because we didn't really know what "cringey" means so everyone was just enjoying dancing and lip-syncing. -
YouTube
When I was in 6th grade, I tried being a vlogger but I failed because I thought I would instantly get a thousand subscribers, but when I didn't get that much subscribers after 1 video, I decided to stop because I was too lazy to create more videos. -
Twitter
When I was in 7th grade, I downloaded twitter because that is where I tweet all my frustrations and special memories with people. -
Discord
My classmate in 8th grade asked our whole section to download this app cause he said that it was just like Messenger but it has cooler features and you can add more people. -
TikTok
TikTok was the app that entertained our generation when the pandemic started. Like what I said earlier, TikTok is like the modern version of Musical.ly but you can do much more stuff here like uploading longer videos and shopping. -
Google Meet
In my previous school, we used to have our synchronous online meetings through this app. Our whole class didn't know how to use it first but through time, we were able to learn how to use its features. -
Microsoft Teams
Now that I'm in NU MOA, I discovered that they are using Microsoft Teams as an online classroom so I needed to learn another new app, but it was fine because MS Teams has much more useful features than Google Meet.
