Withdrawl From The League of Nations
Hitler realized that he could use the Treaty of Versailles as a way out of the League of Nations. He thought that this would make him look like a patriot and make people fell like he was trying to help the country. However most of the people knew that the Treaty of Versailles had nothing to do with the League of Nations, but they admired him as a leader and were to scared to call him out on it. So he used the treaty to explain Germany's withdrawl from the League of Nations -

Hitler Invades Austria
itler had a meating with the prime minister of because he wanted to invade Austria, so he had the meeting and it was all about threats and insults. Schuschnigg said that he will let the people of his country decide, but before the election cold happen the fuehrer said that "unless Schuschnigg and the president resigned, he would invade to "'restore order in a chaotic country"'. Then HItler came to invade after 27 days and Austria had not army in return, so Germany easily took Austria. -
Hitler Wanted Sudetenland
After Austria fell to Hitler and the Germans he now wanted Czechoslovakia. Many German speaking people lived in Sudetenland. However Hitler and Chamberlain could not come up with a compromize over this peice of land. A last second meeting was then called by Benito Mussolini with Hitler, the French, and he British. After this meeting the four leaders agreed to give Hitler Sudetenland, but this now meant that he could not conquer anymore peices of land. -
Hitler Attacks Poland
The Nazis took a group of prisoners to Gleiwitz (a town on the border of poland) and made them dress up in polish army uniforms. They then shot them after this and Hitler blamed Poland for trying to attack one of his camps. He then declared war with Poland all because Hitler set them up. -
Polish Jews Must Wear Yellow Stars
They now made every jew wear a yellow star so they could be seen as a jew by all of the other people in their towns and countries. They also had to be off the streets from 5am to 9pm and if they did not follow this they coold have up to 10 years in prison. The yellow stars also helped to recongnize jews that were out on the streets during this time. -
Hitler Finally Falls
In the Spring Germany went on a voyage to conquer many lands, and that included Denmark and Norway. After all of this conquering tey decided to try to go and get Britain. Britain was prepared and knew that it was coming and on June 22 they were finally the only ones who could survive and keep their land. -
The Invasion of the USSR
HItler wanted to destroy the "Jewish-Bolshevik menace", so he ordered the invasion of Russia. He had four SS units that were known as the Einsatzgruppen. Hitlerhad them go into four different parts of Russia and ordered them to murder anyone they thought was a menace to the state. -
USA Enters the War
The US declared war on Japan because they bombed pearl harbor and they were an ally with Germany. -
Japan Seeks Out Help
On December 9 Japan asked for the help of Germany so they could try and win the battle against the US. The Fuehrer said that Japan had started the war with the bombing and said that they should not join. However Hitler liked to fight so he joined in helping Japan. -
Hitler Declares War With The US
Hitler declares war on the United States. When he did this he united 3 powerful Nations that could take down Germany and Japan in a split second. These countries were: Britain (who had previously taken down Germany), the Soviet Union, and the US. These countries were allies for this war even though they did not always agree.
