    French and indian war

    The cause of the French and Indian war was the British and French both claimed the same land. The French and Indians joined together to drive out the british colonists. Britain and the colonists won the war and thhat meant France had to leave America.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    The Proclamation stated the new boundaries of inland exploration of the colonists and gave Natives some land. This meant that the colonists stayed on thhe east of the appalachian mountains whle the natives got the west.
  • Sugar act

    In 1764 King george III passed the sugar act. England began to tax the colonists to pay off their war debt, this tax was on molasses. This tax was passed to help pay off britain's war debt. This law was significant because it was the first tax made to raise money. Because of this the colonists decide to boycott goods from Great Britain.

  • Stamp act

    The stamp act was passed by the British Parliament. The stamp act required every legal document to have a british stamp of approval. In response the colonists held riots and attacked the tax collectors.
