In 1869 Laura, her sister Mary, and her mother and father move to Indian Territotry in Kansas. -
On August 3, 1870, Laura and Mary welcome their new sister Carrie to the world.

The Dugout
In the spring of 1874, Laura moves again with her family. This time they move to Plum Creek in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. They build a dugout in the side of a hill. -
On May 23, 1877, Grace Pearl Ingalls is born.
