this was created to forbid states to overpower by getting a persons freedom. It event made a change to the constitution so people may have rights. Right to no being treated inhuman. also removing jurisdiction of laws -
Plessy V. Ferguson
Plessy traveled to Chicago Frequently with out a problem. One day Plessy found a different motorman.
Plessy who was a rich African American male suited Ferguson the
new motorman For not permitting him to his routine in Chicago. Ferguson forced Plessy to use Blacks only.
Supreme Court ruled "one drop" which mean if there was a little bit of colored you were considered to be colored. -
Brown V. Board of Education
Oliver Brown was a father who was suited by NAACP, a class action for challenging racial segregation in education by having his daughter in all whites school. Being the first of the five that were suited the cases were seen as name brown V. Board of education. the court ruled that separate by equal was not equal. -
Cooper V. Aaron
After brown V. Board of education desegregated schools. Many Schools opposed using government force to allow only white students to enter school. While federal force was used to permit colored students into schools.
