The Trans-Siberian Railway is the longest in the world . This railway system connects Europe, Russia and the Russian far east. The spanning length of this rail way is 5772 miles. this was a great change in transportation due to how much goods they could now trade. -

The Zephyr is the longest rail road in America. That runs between chicago and Emeryville, California. It spans just over 2400 miles in about 52 hours. going through the American west, Rocky mountains and Sierra Nevadas. This made it much easier for people to travel and transport goods through those biomes.
