Knights of Early 1100s
The knight armour in early 1100s had a cone shaped helmet with a nose strip, a large kite-shaped shield and a chainmail armour made of many metal rings. This was called a hauberk. -

Knights of Late 1100
The knights armour in the late 1100s contained of a bigger helmet with a wide nose strip. They now wear a long coat to protect themselves from heat. They now had coat of arms (a symbol to identify a knight), a smaller shield, a shorter hauberk and chain mail protecting the feet. -

Knights of the 1300s
Knights had a much heavier armour, containing of a large helmet with a liftable visor, more iron plates to add protection, a much smaller shield and iron gloves instead of chainmail mittens (called gaunlets). -

Knights of 1400s
Knights at this time have been improved. They have gotten rid of shields, and the whole armour is iron. It is more flexible than chainmail, and the armour has covered the whole body. Altogether it weighs 25kg.
