Louis made art very popular, including ballet and opera. He also believed the purpose of art was to glorify the king and promote values that supported Louis' absolute rule. -
King Louis gets rid of the Edict of Nantes
King Louis slows down the economic process of France, he cancels the Edict of Nantes. Which protects religious rights of Huguenots. Because of this action skilled workers and buisnessmen fled the country. Louis did not like their religion. -
