Before King Henry VIII took the throne
King Henry VIII was born oon June 28th 1491. He was born in the Palace of Placentia in Greenwhich, England. His parents were Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. He was the thrid child and has two sisters Mary and Margaret. His eldest brother was Authur. Since Authur was the eldest he was the first hier to the throne. Sadly he died of "sweating sickness" or what we now call tuberculosis, at the age of 15. Henry VIII was known for being a handsome toddler but when messed with has an angry temper. -

Teenage Years of Henry VIII
During Henry's teenage years he spent growing up in the church and he focused on his education of theology or the study of the Bible. He also learned philiosophy, languages, and navigation/the art of cartographing. His closest friends was his family mostly his cousins. After his father died April 22nd 1502 Henry 18 at the time was stepping into shies hard to fill being a king. -

King Henry VIII takes the throne
King Henry VII dies so his son, another Henry VIII takes over the throne at the age of 18. Most thought he was too young and unqualified for the position but he took the throne with pride. He was Crowned in Wesminister Abbey on Jine 24th. Shortly after he marries Catherine of Aragon , the daughter of the Queen of Spain. -

Catherine of Aragon becomes Queen of England
Born December 16th, 1485 in Madrid Spain, Before she married Henry she was married to his younger brother Arthur before he got mysterously sick. For eight years Catherine's future remained uncertain but then in 1509, Henry became the King and immediatly made Catherine his wife. She failed to give him an heir after three miscarrages and two infant deaths the only child who survived was Mary. She guided English troops in the Battle of Flodden and died January 7,1536. -

Mary Tudor is born
On Feb. 18th 1516 Mary Tudor is born she was born and raised in the Catholic church and when her parents Henry VIII and Catherine of York divorced she became a very bitter and obsesive person getting the nickname Bloody Mary. Her half sister was Oueen Elizabeth I from her fathers marriage to Anne Boleyn. Later on she married Kings Philip Of Spain and was procalimed Queen in July of 1553. Her lifefspan was 1516-1558. She took the throne on July 19th 1553. -

Anne Boleyn takes the throne as King Henry VIII Second Wife
Born around 1507 she married King Henry VIII on Sept. 1st. Anne was very ambitious and sensual, making Henry very jealous and wanting to cheat on his wife Catherine. He eventually got an Allunment from his wife without the Roman Catholic's consent and went off and broke away from the church for her. She bore a beautiful daughter named Elizabeth I and sparked the Act of Supremecy in 1534 stating that it eliminates the essiential authority for a male heir. Anne was executed for being a witch. -

Breaking away from the Roman Catholic Church
Hnry wanted to get a divorce from his first wife and marry his Mistress Anne. An annulment was in order but because it is against what the Roman Catholic believe the Pope would not let him get one or else he would be excommunicated. Henry tried everything like Papal Dispentation but still could not get his divorce. By 1533, he was so furious that he demanded the arch bishop to give him a divorce which he quickly did then never looked at the church the same way. -

Act of Supremecy
King Henry VII- Notice actual date is unspecified!
In 1534 Parliament passed the Act of Supremacy which defined the right of Henry VIII to be supreme head on earth of the Church of England, thereby severing ecclesiastical links with Rome. This was later set in altercations in 1558. -

Death of Catherine of Aragon
Fell ill for a few months and died from an unknown sickness. Some historians believe that Anne Boleyn poisened her through a drink so that she could be known as the queen of England. This rumor was never confirmed -

King Henry VIII gets married to Jane Seymour
Jane started out as just a service in the kings palace but she soon caught Henrys eye and became his top pride. After Henry met Jane within 24 hours he ordered of Anne Boleyn's execution, Jane Seymour and Henry VIII were formally throned kings and quen and they were married.In early 1537 Jane became pregnant on the 15th of October 1537 she had a baby boy Edward. She died on October 24th, just two weeks after her son was born. Leaving him in Henry's hands. -

Edward VI of England
Edward VI of England was born on Oct. 15th 1537 his parents were King Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. He was the only male Tudor heir of his generation If Edward died, the throne would pass to a woman and the Tudor dynasty would end. Accordingly, King Henry did all he could to protect his son's health; the infant prince lived in safe seclusion. Edward became king at the age of 10, but he was a mere figurehead. During his brief reign, Edward died at 10 and then passed the throne in 15337to a woman. -

Kathryn Howard and Henry VIII
Kathryn Howard was the daughter of Lord Edmund Duke of Norfolk. Sixteen days after he was free of Anne, Henry took his fifth wife, Kathryn Howard, on July 28, 1540. Henry was 49 and his bride was no older than 19. By November 1541 Enough evidence was gathered that the Queen had been promiscuous before her marriage. She was exucuted before even taking the throne. -

Katherine Parr takes the throne as Henry's VIII last wife
Born in 1512, and married King Henry VIII on July 12th after being reluctant for many years. She was a patient and loving wife to him getting plenty of expierence from her last two husbands. She was a protestant and took interest to Elizabeth I the most. Cared for Henry for six years in his time of need. Facts: widowed two times, reluctant to marry Henry because of his past wifes -

At Saint James Palace, Mary Tudor fell to her death at the age of 37 in her home. While still alive, her leadership styles were very stern, often being reffered to as Bloody Mary. She favored the Catholics over the Protestants which made her very unwelcomed by her towns men. -
Corrination of Oueen Elizabeth I
Elizabeth was born September 7th 1533. Her father was Henry III and her mother was Anne Boleyn. She was then third in line behind her Roman Catholic half-sister, Princess Mary. Her 45-year reign is generally considered one of the most glorious in English history. During it a secure Church of England was established.Elizabeth chose never to marry. So she died alone in 1603. -
