Abraham Lincoln Takes the Presidential Oath(six weeks to live)
People gather in the ankle high mud to watch as Abraham Lincoln takes the oath of office to begin his second term. The celebrity, confederate sympathizer John Wilkes Booth stands in the crowd disgusted of Lincoln nd at the end of his speech Booth had no gun or knife but he still lunged at Lincoln but to be stopped by a gaurd. Booth explained to the gaurd that he had fell and then the gaurd had let him go. -
The man that is not afraid has only 14 days to live
Lincoln isn't scared of anything. He is eager to see the U.S healed that he had sent General Ulysses S. Grant to offer General Robert E. Lee lenient surrender terms possible. If they take it there would be no punishment o any Confederate solider. All Lincoln cares for now is to defeat Lee`s army. -
Lincoln holds a meeting with General Grant
Lincoln fearless strugs off the risk of being killed and ending his life there. He is only being companied by his 11 year old son, a lone bodygaurd and a couple of government officials. All that their is, is small towns people who wouldn`t dare to assasinate the president. -
The Gettysburg Address
Booth stands under a tree next to his two co-conspirartors. He is at a distance of a shot to end Lincolns life there and then. Lincoln walks out and stands at a second floor window. Lincoln is a well known speaker and starts to say what we know now as the Gettysbburg Address. Booth stays to hear every word even though this was a boring speech. He tells Lewis Powell(one of the co-conspirators) to shoot Lincoln but he doesnt because of the overwhelming mob. Booth then knows he`ll kill Lincoln. -
Booth takes a walk
Booth is out taking a walk of the street of Washington, his mind filled with the disparate strands of an unfinished plan. Th more he walked the more it came together. After the moning of Lincolns speech booth knew he wanted to shoot the president at the theater. -
Booth try`s for help
Booth heads to Baltimore to meet with a friend of his who originally wanted to kidnap the president. But Mike O`Laughlen had forgotten the plan and wanted a normal life. Booth comes around now and is now persuading O`Laughlen to join in on the plan. He is unsure what to do next. -
The shocking assasination
Lincoln and his wife are just about to leave but Lincoln is interrupted by several men. Then they finally are on the way. Once Lincoln arrives the whole audience turns and everyone stands nd cheers. While Lincoln relaxes the gaurd decides to take off because he is bored and thirsty. The only bodygaurd of lincoln has left his post. Booth looks over the final details and when its finalized he rides to Ford Theater. Booth arrives and is right behind Lincoln. Booth hears his cue and boom. -
After the assasination
Doctors searching Lincoln`s body for anything. They carefully pull out everything and leave his pockets empied. Lincoln head is black and blue and also swollen, "like a boxers face after a match." But thanks to a metal ball no more bigger then a marble, Lincoln is brain-dead. -
The Chase
John Wilkes Booth nd David Herold are the most wanted men in the U.S.A. They have successfully fled into Maryland countryside. They are forced to find a place to rest because Booth`s leg is sevre injured and his horse is tired of the journey. They now hide in house of the emiment physician and Confederate sympathizer Dr. Samuel Mudd. Booth is miserable. -
Booth`s Death
Booth had now felt happier then anyone. even after the killing nd the broken leg he was. athen suddenly Lieutenant Baker opens the barn door. Booth takes his carbine about to take aim. Just like Lincoln felt pain then nothing when assasinated, now Booth hears the crack of a rifle and feels a jolt in his neck, and then nothing. Segeant Boston Corbett had killed John Wilkes Booth.
