First Point: Maintaining GPA
Making sure I maintain the GPA needed for this program is a great goal to have. Making sure I keep the required GPA and even getting a higher GPA. Can only help me even more since the GPA is one of the main factors that can determine if I get admittance into this program. -
Second Point: Achieve a C or better on required courses
Achieving a C or better in the speech and reading courses goes along with the GPA a C or higher can make or break your GPA. As I stated before this is one of the factors that could determine if I get into the education program or not. Plus if I scored higher than a C my GPA would rise as well. -
Third Point: Get a great score on accuplacer (THEA)
Getting a great score on my accuplacer determines if I can get accepted. With test like this I have always struggled so I know I will have to study extremely hard so I can get a high enough score to be considered passing. -
Fourth Point: Get into the education program at TWU
Getting into the education program at TWU would be such a stepping stone for me. It would give me the confidence I would need to take the TExES. As well as open so many doors that I would need to start my career. -
Fifth Point: Passing the TExES exam
Passing the TExES exam would be my final goal since this exam could basically decide my career. It could decide if I even get to become a teacher. Studying and preparing myself for the exam are the only two ways I can succeed with this. Passing this exam would be a huge accomplishment for me.
