Also known as the Reichstag fire, the german Parliament was burnt down mysteriously. Hitler and the nazis blame the communists. They described the fire as the work of the Communists and a signal for their planned uprising. -

Dachau concentration camp is the first camp to open. -

Hitler and his men needed a plan so they expanded all the concentration camps taking in more and more Germans. -
The night of broken glass
Nazi's Storm Troopers attacked Jewish people, hundreds were killed and over 7,000 jewish busisneses were never re-opened. Leaving the Jews with nothing of their own and no way to make money. It is called "The night of Broken Glass," for the shattered glass from the store windows that littered the streets. -
Jews loose all their rights
Jews are no longer German citizens and lose all their rights. They are banned from professional occupations including teaching Germans, being accountants or dentists and they are also denied tax reductions and child allowances. -
Gemrmany invades Poland
Germany invades poland which causes many jews to live in guettos and wear yellow stars so that they are recognisable as jews. Plans to finally kill all the jews are discused throughout the Nazi's. -
SS Einsatzgruppen are sent to accompany soldiers invading Eastern Europe.
They are under orders to terrorise Jews and Reports emerge of SS officers committing suicide after these events, presumably haunted by the horror of their actions.
