The Proclimation Line of 1763
The proclomation line of 1763 states that colonists could not live past that line because of the american indians that lived over their. King George did not want anymore wars or arguements over land so this was his resolution. -
The Stamp Act
The stamp act was were anything that had to do with paper was taxesd an unreasonable priced tax. It set the colonists on FIRE! They were furious with the King. He had no reason to tax us,we did not even fight in that war! Lot's boycotted the paper but, soon found out you use paper alot in life and had to pay the taxes. -
The Boston Massacure
On a nice evening night about 13 angry, infureated colonists gathered by a church and started protesting againt the red coats. The red coats were armed and ready to fire. They had had enough of this nonsence so they shot innosent colonists on this now terrifing night. As others ly wounded, many are dead. The deside to call this the Boston Massacure. -
The Boston Tea Party
On this night the colonists had had enough. They decided they should dress up as crazy indians and ride boats to a big ship in the Boston Harbor. Then, when they were there, they would dump over more than 300 chests of tea. To punish the colonists King George made more taxes and more laws. This upset the colonists even more. What could they do now? -
The first Continental Congress
The first Continetal Congress met in Phillie and hoped to make peace to resolve this problem with Great Britain. The congress was made up of the deegates from each colony except Georgia. They sent a petition to King George lll, just reminding him of the colonists OWN basic rights! The congress all voted that they should try to stop trade with Great Britain. They also asked to form melitias or armies of local citizens. -
The battles of Lexington and Concord
On the night of April 1775 over 2,000 british soilders marched towards the towns of lexington and Concord. Paul Revere had found out about the attack and rode ahead of the lobster-backs. He got to the towns and shouted the british are coming, the british are coming. Then, the towns minutemen would gather their weapons and start getting ready for battle. When the british arrived shots were fired. Nobody knows who shot the first shots, but we still go on about it. Both were basiclly the same. -

Approval of the Declaration
The declaration of independance was approved on July 4, 1776. It was approved by all the colonies, one by one they all said yes, but one. RI did not approve the Declaration. The majority wins so the declaration was approved by the colonies. So now everybody has to sign it. Wgat an acomplishment for the Delegates of the colonies. -
Patrick Henry Speech
In a very famous speech made by Patrick Henry he said these very inspiring words, "Give me liberty, or give me Death!". This became a very patriotic slogan and encouraged so many that we can do this if we all try. This was just one of the actions to get more people on their side. -
The Surrender at Yorktown
In the year of 1781, 6 years after the war had started, Lord Cornwallis had to surrender to General Washington in Yorktown, Virginia. He did not want to but he became surrounded by Washington and his soilders and it was life or death for him. The colonists had won! Finally, independance!!!!
