    Impressment of Sailors
The impressment of sailors led to the War of 1812 because the British were seizing American ships, capturing the sailors, and forcing them into the British navy. The United States didn't like the British doing this because it violated the Americans rights by taking the sailors out of the country and forcing them to work. This was one of the reasons why the United States declared war on the British.

    Washington's Proclamation of Neutrality
George Washington created this proclamation because he thought that it would be best for the nation to remain neutral while Great Britain and France were going at war with one another.
