A series of acts used to raise revenue in the colonies. Many of these were unfair and unreasonable. Caused revolts. -
Boston Massacre
5 citizens were killed. One of the offenses againts the colonies. Shooting without a warning to control a protest. -
Boston Tea Party
Tax on tea was too high. The colonies decide to boycott the goods but it was not enough to repeal the tax. they decided to dump incoming tea into Boston's Bay. -
First Continental Congress
Meeting held in Philadelphia . Delegates from the colonies meet to boycott goods and adopted a resolution in opposition to the Coercive Acts. -
