Spring Fashion Show
The KY derby will put on the latest fashion in Derby and Spring wear. On March 29, 2012 at the Showroom in Horseshoe. Each show has a special theme. The first show was in 1990 to show off the new Board of Director’s uniforms. It was so loved they continued it the next year. -
The Fillies Derby Ball
The Fillies Derby Ball is the festivals oldest and most anticipated event. It is held at the Galt House East Grand Ballroom. It is the prelude to two weeks of exciting activities. -
Great Balloon Glow
Synchronized to a special musical score watch as many balloons across the field light up in time to the music. The pilots light their burners in time to the beat against the darkened sky. -
The Great Bed Races
Come in pajamas, enjoy free food, and compete is competitions pertaining to beds of all forms. Join Corey Stone and you could win a free mattress while you’re there. -
WineFest
Tickets costing only $35, the KY Derby WineFest teaches the community about the many wineries within Kentucky and Indiana. Complimentary wine glass, pin, and samplings. Held at the East Belvedere at Waterfront Park
