In 1585 Queen Elizabeth alloed Raleigh to send over 100 men from england to Raoanoke Island. -
Found dead
Upon arrival in 1587,They found out that the men in the fort were killed by some of my people.Fernandez demanded they settle in Roanoke Island instead of Chesapeake Bay because he wanted to get back a dispute in Europe between spain and England. -
The lost colony
John white left with Ferernandez to get more supplies.They arived in England to find out spain had invaded England.The word CROATION was carved on a tree nearby croation was a local tribe.He despritly tried to find the Croation tribe but a huirricane forced him to go back to England. -
First perminent english colony
In 1607 a group of 100 men landede on the banks of james river which wasnt healthy to drink.They were immediatley attacked by some of his people.(john smith).Some of his people are determined to stay.They wer running out of food.Around 60 men endured all these hardships and they trudged on to establish jamestown americas first perminant english colony. -
Pocahontas
pocahontas was chief Powhatans daughter.Her father treated her like a princess.She couldnt bare to see Powhatans exicute captain smith.So shed ran infront of him.She changed history the impact she made was the tribe and the settlers became friend the Powhatan nation taught them life skillis and how to grow tobacco.They sold it and traded it.Thats how she made a inpact. -
Sad times
captain smith returned to England in 1609 when he became sick.He stopped vistiting the settlment.Then the relationship between the settlers and powhatan nation weakened.Four years later he died. -
The first thanksgiving
"Our people were dieing we needed help' thanks to a native american named Squanto became the new worlds new native american friend".The native americans taught them how to hunt and grow crops.They selebrated by having a big feast.That was the first thanksgiving. -
First elected essembly
It was a big year for james town.The first elected essembly was established.It was called the hous of Burgesses. -
Mayflower
People on the Mayflower ahd to live on salted beef ,dried bisquites called hard tack and other dried vedgtebles.There were over a hundred people and only one died.There was only one birth his name was Oceanis Hopkins. -

King charles II in 1681 decided to give william penn land in the new world.Southwest of New Jersey.In this land he gaurandteed free and fair trial by jury,as well as freedom of religion and elections.
