    The massacre lasted 6 weeks with the capture of Nanking, Japanese soldieries raped and murdered the people of Nanking. They looted homes and business. soldieries had competition with their swords to see who could behead more people. The japanese would cut the women's breast, the little children would be cut open to prevent the Japanese from rapping them of all this to show the japanese true aggression. This episode lead to the mass murder of an estimated 300,000 chinese.

Germany forces attacked from the east,west,south and north.On october 6 german and soviet forces gained full control of poland. The invasion of poland happened because both countries germany and The soviet union agreed to partion poland. The invasion lead the allies of poland France and United kingdom to declare war on germany which is the start of WW2.

The base was attacked by 353 japanese bomber planes causing 8 damaged navy battle ships, 4 sunked, 3 cruisers, 188 U.S. aircraft, 2,403 americans were killed and 1,178 others were wounded. This attack led United States into WW2.

    Soviet troops were the first to liberate concentration camps during the final chapters of the war. First entering the majdanek camp in Poland, then later finding other camps. In January 27 they entered Auschwitz finding ill and sick jews. The effect was that the jews were free.

    President Harry S. Truman was warned that an attempt to invade japan would cause alot of american lives. On August 6 the Enola grey dropped a 5 ton atomic bomb over Hiroshima. Instintly killing 80,000 people and killing more from radiation poison. The united states toled japan to surrender or they would drop another bomb on Nagasaki but japan refused so 3 days later the fat boy was dropped killing 40,000. After United States said they had 3 more. A few day later japan anounced their surrender.
