Juliana's Life

  • My Birth

    My Birth
On August 8th 1999 I was born at Tacoma General hospital. I was my parents first surviving child. They had a baby before I was born but he died. When I was born I was very sick, I had jaundice, and was allergic to milk. Everytime I would eat my organs would start to fail and I would vomit. They finally found a special formula that wouldnt make me sick and I got better.
  • Jamie Born

Jamie Joelle Baker was born on January 3rd. Ever since that day I have had not only my favorite cousin but my best friend. For a few years we could not stand eachother, but as we have grown up and life has hit us hard we have bonded and now are closer than ever before. She knows everything about me and is the person I go to with anything in life. She is the best thing in my life right now.
  • Tanner Born

    Tanner Born
On June 3rd 2003 my little brother was born.He was even sicker than I was when I was born. Tanner was born blue and was soon after birth pronounced dead due to lack of oxygen. But that wasnt the end for him soon after they pronounced him dead he took his first breathe. It was a miricle. But this was not the end of the scary and sad times. When he was 10 days old he was given 3 months to live. Almost 13 years later he is still with us.
  • Met Abigail

    Met Abigail
One of the best days of my life, was the day i met Abigail. She is the kindest, smartest, most loving person I know. We met at church when our moms forced us to talk to eachother. And the rest of that story is history. Abigail is an incredibly strong and motivated human. She makes me want to be better and do more.
  • Tanner Diagnosed

    Tanner Diagnosed
The day my life fell to pieces yet oddly seemed complete.Since the day he was born he was a medical mystery. But one morning when he had a grand maul seizure in the shower and was transfered to Mary Bridge in Tacoma. Where he spent 5 days in the hospital being tested for everything doctors could test for was he finally diagnosed with one of the rarest medical problems out there "POTS"
  • Began High School

My first day of high school was like any other. Except for the fact that I went to school at Emerald Ridge. ER was a special high school in the Puyallup School District. The academics werre horrible, the sports programs were terrible. Yet everyone walked around like they were the best. ER was home to smokers, nerds, jocks, and many more classes. The classes were known very well. My first 2 years of high school were a very unique expierence.
  • Car Accident

    Car Accident
8:21 pm, driving home from a church activity. That day was probably the hardest day of my life. Well what began the hardest days of my life. We were going through an intersection and were hit head on both going 45 mph. Had my dad not tried to swerve to avoid being hit I would have died. That was told to me the next day without a shadow of a doubt. That day started the next 2 years of my life. That I have described as "hell"
  • Moved to Arizona

    Moved to Arizona
One of the hardest family decisions we had to make, after my elderly grandmother got out of rehab she had to move in with us in Washington. Our house was not properly equipped to have her live woth us, so the decision had to be made. Move 3 hours away and live in Washington still but not with friends or family. Or start over somewhere completely different. The family decided we needed a change of scenery. Less than a month later we found ourself in Buckeye Arizona
  • Started Online School

I started with Business Math as just a fun class to take, now 3 classes later I have the amazing oppertunity to graduate early and begin college early also. I have worked so hard from were I was 2 years ago to now being able to start college early is amaing. Doctors said 2 years ago that I would be lucky to ever think again. Now I am graduating early and I have already completed 26 college credits. I have not taken no, or itll be hard for an answer.

It was more than a relief, it felt like a whole new world. At one point in time i had 12 different rehab doctors I was seeing. Meaning every day I would travel to at least 3 different doctors offices. I had been dreaming of th eday I could finally say I was done!
