In 1882 it was the First Labor Day celebration was held in New York City. Labor Day is not just a day to celebrate the accomplishments of workers; for some people, it is also a day to talk about their concerns and to discuss ways to get better working conditions and salaries.

    The Imperialism Era was the United States pursuing an aggressive policy of expansionism, extending its political and economic influence around the globe. McKinley Assassination was a big role in this Era because it lead to Roosevelt as President leading to expansionism.

    The Progressive Era was America experiencing rapid urbanization and industrialization. A characteristic of the Era would be the growth of industry and cities created problems.

The Great Depression was the deepest and longest-lasting economic downturn in the history of the Western industrialized world.The stock market crash of October 1929 sent Wall Street into a panic and wiped out millions of investors causing this catastrophe.

The blockade was a soviet attempt to starve out the allies in Berlin in order to gain supremacy.
