Life and Death of John Dewey
John Dewey was born 20 October, 1859 as the youngest of four boys. John went on to start his education in the University of Vermont with his older brothers, there, he graduated in 1879.
He then went to study at Johns Hopkins University, where he obtained his Doctorate degree in 1884. From there, He started teaching at the University of Michigan for the next decade, publishing numerous books, lectures and additions to popular outlets. he continued to write until his death on 02 June, 1952. -
The Beginnings of John Dewey's Career
John first started his studies at Johns Hopkins University (Graduating in 1884 with his doctorate). In the ten years that was there, John wrote numerous books, essays, and inserts on pragmatism. John believed in active, hands on learning, and resisted against any ideas of static feeling learning environments. This of course was met with lots of resistance.

Later in Life
John Dewey was a very well known man, especially with his personal additions to "The New Republic" and "Nation". He was also known for his involvement and support of movements such as the women's suffrage and the unionization of teachers. John did eventually retire from teaching in 1930. But continued writing and publishing his works up until his death. -
