It was issued by King George 3. Great Britain 's acquisition of French Territory to North America after the French & Indian War. It did not seperate until the end of the war. -
Sugar Act of 1764
Sugar act is tax on sugar and imported goods.It was the first directed tax placed on colonists. Made the American colonists angry and sugar act repelled. -
Stamp Act of 1765
Stamp Act was the tax on all printed materials. No taxation without representation. Colonists did a boycott and refuse to buy something and Stamp Act was repelled in 1766. -
Townshend Act
Townshend Act happened after the Stamp Act was repelled. The British was angry. Then Brtish put taxes on everything paper, lead, paint, and tea. -
Boston Tea Party
In Boston a group of patriots dressed as Native Americans snuk on a boat and threw 342 chests of tea in the Boston Harbor. -
Boston Massacre
A mob of Patriots would appear and start throwing snowballs filled with rocks at the British. Brtish will start shooting at them and will kill 5 colonists and 6 injured. -
Lexington & Concord
They will stock pile weapons and the number of British troops in the colonies increases. Then started the American Revolution. American casulties: 49 killed, 39 wounded, and 5 missing. British casulties: 73 killed, 149 wounded, 53 missing. The colonists won the battle.
