the first english settlers started to set sail on a boat in dec,19.1606 -
the arrival of jamestown
virginia was founded in the year 1607 by a group of colonist who were gonna name there little town on virginia jamestown. -
the settlers moving in
when the founders of jamestown found the land they decided to name it virginia as in honor of their queen elizabeth the 1st. -
saw the land
after all that hustle of illness they finally saw their new land named virginia with danger awaiting them. -
the search of sea
on may 21st captain newport and 23 men began their search for route to the pacific ocean -
sweet,and naive
the natives used sweet bribes and tricked the people of jamestown to a false sense of security and captain newport was shocked to find this out on may 27 1607 -
the saviors or killers?
on june 15 they still attacked at least killing a couple more people from jamestown -
the death of jerome alicock
for he died of a wound as many others. for the others died of a horrible disease -
war or peace of woman
the natives thought the colonist tried to bring war when coming toland with no woman or kids but later in 1608 woman came and starved alongside with their new husbands. -
the savior
john smith was captured by natives and brought to powhatan but then in a ritual he was supposed to die in part of a sacrificing ritual but pocahontas stepped in laying her body on john smiths and saved his life
