These banks were corruptive because they were mostly with the democrats, they were given millions as a loan, and because they had lots of privileges which caused lots of problems the banking system. The reason why these banks failed is because they weren't adequate enough to hold the money given to them and they did didn't complete their investments.

Lots of people were unemployed, the western expansion was out to a pause. Some causes of this panic were the absence of a national bank, inflations, and economics growing at a fast rate.

The effect of the Independent Treasury was It put limits on the credits they had, and it held back inflation for trading and the population as well.

    This election consist of William Henry Harrison, who was a Whig General, and Martin Van Buren. The election was one by William Henry by 5%. The reason why this election was so significant is because at the time they were struggling economically.
