Importance: Finding the 4 water falls upstream put a block on their expidition. It took them about a month to get through this. -

Importance: This decision was made by majority vote. This was the very first time that a woman AND a slave were allowed to have their opinions count. -

Importance: This provided these Indian with more protection than they had previously. This also marked the beginning of the 6 month journey home. -

Importance: Lewis and Clark were now able to cover more than 70 miles per day. This sped up the long travel home. -

Importance: This is where they started their expidition, they're home. -
Lewis and Clark are treated as national heros
Importance: When they return to Washington, D.C. tegt receive double pay and 320 acre's of land for their discovories and making it through their journey.
