    I was born on 2-4-1822 into a wealthy family Jack Douglas was born and grew up in Islay, Scotland. I attended school and finished college.

    My parents wouldn't let me leave the yard let alone the continent. When I turned 18 though I did what I longed to do. I searched for oppurtunity and the United States was my only shot. My parents had money, we wernt poor, but I just wanted to make a name for myself and not to be handed to me.

    When I look up my eyes cannot decieve me. The sounds of joy confirm this sight to be true. It is the statue of liberty off to the side of the ship. The marvelous green woman stood tall with fire in her hand. Liberty comes where her light shines.

    Through hours of waiting I finally made it to the inspector. Most of the other inspections were short but mine was different. They pulled me to the side. I got very nervous very quickly. Even the people behind me started to worry. They then called another inspoector over. He did little but inspected me again. He then said the words I had hoped he would say. He said you passed.
