he is born to the family of Vasily III the father and the mother Yelena Glinskaya -

Ivan's father dies and causes major problems for the entire country. boyars attempt to own Ivan and help rule Russia at the age of 3 -

finally on his own
when Ivan was very small (age of 3) through the age of 8 his mother had helped him rule the country. someone historians believe poisoned the mother and left him alone at age 8 -

the battle of the boyars
after his mother unfortunately died, all the boyars wanted to take ownership of Ivan. they fought and quarreled for 9 years over who got to own him. -

his own little haven
in the midst of all the chaos Ivan ran away from Moscow and got them to Beg to get him back. he only agreed to come back if they made him an absolute ruler of Moscow area. which is how he gained power instantly -

finally official
he was crowed in 1547 as the tsar. or the supreme ruler of all russia (tsar mean ceaser) and began a good rule -

in the cold February month. Ivan married Anastasiya Romanova and started living a happy life together -

what has he done?!
nothing bad. yet. he actually helped strengthen the church affairs soon after and create a whole new legal code that constructed a new army for him to use in times of need. -

he started getting greedy and made new terrible laws. they lowered the power of the aristocrats to become more powerful. they were all dependent on him when they needed any form of help -

Ivan's wife dies and causes him to go mentally unstable. his acts of aggression cause countless deaths in Russia after this unfortunate event -

down with the boyars
Ivan had partial belief it was all the Boyars fault. he made a police force to murder any Boyar around him. this caused major conflicts in Russias political balance -

Ivan at one point goes into a blind fit of rage and blinds and architect. his eldest son intervenes and gets murdered by Ivan. getting rid of the only competent heir to the throne. if his other son wasn't mentally or physically fit to rule Russia -
a stroke of death
Ivan died in 1584 with the cause being a terrible stroke
