Austro-Prussian War
Bismarck baited Austria into war intending to end the Austrian power in Germany. After the war also knwn as the seven weeks war, Prussia had annexed Schleswig and Holstein and had finally connected the eastern and western ends of Prussia. -

Franco-Prussian War
The plan that Bismarck wanted was for the south Germans to voluntarily merge into a unified Germany. The Prussian army surrounded 83,000 French prisoners until hunger forced them to surrender. The southern Germans gave into Prussian leadership and the war ended with Wilhelm being crowned Kaiser. -
Papal States Conquered
By conquering the Papal states, the city of Rome was taken over by Italy. It became the capital. However, the pope still governed Vatican city. -
