    A Royal Commission, by recommendation of the prime minister, is a body of the monarch set up to gether information about the operation of existing laws or investigate any social, educational, or other matters. A Royal Commission, known as the Peel Commission, headed by Lord Peel, was launched by the British to propose changeds to the British Mandate for Palestine following the outbreak of the 1936-1939 Arab revold in Palestine and investigate the reason behind the uprising.
