    PLO was Founded

  • Six Day War

    Six Day War
    The Six Day War was from June 5th, 1967- June 11th, 1967. It was the Jewish state’s survival that was threatened by the force of five Arab armies.   • UN Resolution 242

    UN Resolution 242

  • Yom Kippur War Begins

    Yom Kippur War Begins

  • Camp David Accords

    Camp David Accords
    Israel and Egypt signed the Camp David Accords after multiple days of negotiations brokered by United States President Jimmy Carter. The agreement later lead to the awarding of the 1978 Nobel Peace Prize to the Egyptian President, Anwar Sadat, and the Israeli Prime Minister, Menachem Begin.
  • Lebanon War Begins

    Lebanon War Begins
    Israel invaded southern Lebanon in an effort to try and stop attacks on civilians in northern Israel. This resulted in the removal of the PLO from Lebanon.
  • Oslo Accords

    Oslo Accords
    Israel and Palestine signed the first Oslo Accord at the White House. That agreement provided for the creation of a meanwhile Palestinian self-governing authority and the withdrawal of Israeli soldiers from certain Palestinian territory.
  • Barak-Arafat Peace Talks End

    Barak-Arafat Peace Talks End
    Two weeks of negotiations between Israel’s Prime Minister and Palestine’s leader, Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat, come to an inconclusive end. The negotiations at Camp David ended without a peace agreement.
  • Stabbing Intifada

    Stabbing Intifada
    A wave of firebombing, car ramming, and stabbing attacks by Palestine starts in and around Jerusalem. This lead some to raise concerns that a Third Intifada, even referred to as a stabbing intifada, is carried out.
