    Britain gave their support towards the "national home for Jewish people" found through the Balfour Declaration located in Palestine. Britain also found that the health and well-being of the non-Jewish also quite important “nothing shall be done which may prejudice with the civil religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities.”

    Occurring to the United Nations Britain’s mandate ends and Israel takes over the role. Israel (at the beginning of the Arab-Israeli war) had more land than expected. Approximately 750,000 Palestinian Arabs had fled or had either been blocked out of their total population at the time with about 1,200,000.

    Millions of Jewish people came to Israel including holocaust survivors, refugees and immigrants.

    The United States were eager to get their hands on the deadly missiles that Israel had created. Through the want of all these missiles the United States tried bargaining. In 1966 France sends arms supplies into Israel, this tempts Israel to sell their missiles to the United States.

    Tension rises between Israel and Egypt, so, Israel launches their first attack on Egypt. This soon turns into a war. Jordan and Syria immediately joins in too. This war lasts 6 days, leaving Israel in control of the whole of the West Bank, Gaza, Golan Heights, Sinai and Jerusalem. The Jewish are setting up their communities claiming their new territory.

    Egypt partnered with Syria to attack Israel, leaving prominent losses in the population and massive changes in the public’s view of the labour party.

    A massive protest occurred because of the government’s recent endeavour to commandeer of land. This was located around the Galilee, northern Israel. In this protest 6 Arab’s were killed due to their own opinion. This protest is so well known that it is remembered every year, as “Land Day.”

    Menachem Begin wins the election over an issue by creating decent over different groups of society. The non- European Jews and the European origin Jews.
  • They all gathered.

    The Egyptian president (Anwar Sadat) travels to Jerusalem and takes on a process that will extract Sinai and Egypt’s recognition of Israel's past (with all they attack's they caused). Israel also decides on gaining a Palestinian Government, for the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

    Palestinians, Massacred, by the Christian Phalangist Allies. Located in the Sabra and the Shatila camps. Ariel Sharon who was responsible for this event was to be extracted from his role from his placement, being the Defence Minister. A large number of protests were arguing for safety with a Non-war movement.

    This was the year that all representatives from Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Jordan gathered to discuss issues.

    Israel decides to not take control over the West Bank and the Gaza, which makes Yasser Arafat replace the position of being the PLO administrator. He soon sets up the Palestinian National Authority.

    Yasser Arafat and Mr Rabin finally sign an agreement that Palestine will receive more power in their years to come.

    The Israeli army releases a barrier to divide the West Bank because of the Palestine Suicide Bombing they previously broght. This was reordered as the biggest military assignment in the West Bank since 1967.

    The purpose of the wall that Israel built across the West Bank was seen differently to the Palestinians. The Palestinians thought it was a “tool to grab more land.” This wasn’t what Israel was implying.
