In June, Isla gives birth to her 3rd daughter. The baby passed in July of the same year. Having lived such a short time, she was never officially named and her burial marker still reads "Baby Girl Phillips" -

Eviction and Settlement in Little Rock
Due to HHP's undertaking of a second farm, he was unable to pay the taxes on both and the family was evicted from their farm. They relocated to Little Rock. -

JFK Assassinated
JFK was assassinated one year before Isla and HHP celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. My aunt has told me the story of how they all sat around in Isla's living room, watching the news, in shock and in tears. -
50 Years
Isla and HHP, SR celebrate 50 years of marriage -
Final Goodbye
HHP went into cardiac arrest at the family home on Rock St in Little Rock. He died at the hospital. It was the only time in their 55 years of marriage that they parted without saying "I love you". -
Apollo II Moon Landing
The same year that Isla and HHP died, Buzz Aldrin and Lance Armstrong landed on the moon. They lived to see the first moon landing. -
Isla Garmany Smith Phillips Dies
A little over a month after her husband's death, Isla passed away on Halloween at St. Vincent's in Little Rock, AR. Her granddaughter attributes it to a broken heart.
