First iPhone
The first iPhone came out in 2007. The features on it included; only 16 GB of data, only 128 MB of memory, a camera with 2.0 megapixels which was really bad. And could also access the internet from a screen you could actually see! iPhone 4s
(There was a couple more iPhone's before this one but I didn't want to include all of the iPhone's.) This iPhone included; the camera quality increased from a 5MP to an 8MP camera! This phone was also the first to come out with the option of 64GB of storage, but the memory stayed the same at 512MB. Siri also the first to came out on this phone. The iPhone 4s costed from about $199-$399. -
iPhone 5
iPhone 5 was released in 2012. On the iPhone 5 the camera quality stayed the same but the memory increased to 1GB. The iPhone 5 included LTE connectivity and it also came with a Lightning connector. The screen display also increased from 3.5 in to about 4 in. The price ranged from abput $199-$399. -
iPhone 5s & iPhone 5c
The iPhone 5c was made to be a little less expensive and had a plastic shell, it was available in 4 colors but didn't change much. The iPhone 5s came out with touch ID, dual flash, and slow-motion video! The iPhone 5c costed about $99 and the iPhone 5s costed $199. -
iPhone 6 & 6 Plus
The iPhone 6 is very similar to the iPhone 5s. The biggest change with these models is a bigger screen/phone. 128GB became available as well. The camera quality didn't change. The cost for the iPhone 6 was the same as the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 6 Plus was $100 more than that. -
iPhone 6s & 6s Plus
Apple upgraded the iPhone 6s a lot. Including; the camera quality increased from an 8MP to 12MP, the memory went from 1GB to 2GB, added 7000 series aluminum, and introduced 3D Touch. iPhone 7 & 7 Plus
Apple dropped the 16GB option and introduced the 32GB & the 256GB options. The plus size model came out with a new dual camera, which had improved camera quality. Apple also removed the headphone jack from these new models. The phones came with earpods that plugged into the lightning port, and included a lightning charging cable. iPhone 8 & 8 Plus
Apple introduced these phones with the new wireless charging with glass covering on the back. The phones also came out with true-tone display which improved the view on the phones by automatically decreasing the blue-light exposure.The price ranged from $669+. -
iPhone X
Apple introduced "Face ID" and took away the home button for a bigger screen on the front. Dual cameras on the back was included as well as the wireless charging.The front-facing camera was also upgraded to "Portrait mode." This iPhone started at $999+. -
iPhone XS & XS Max
These iPhone's were an upgrade from the iPhone X, even though they look a lot alike. Both cameras featured Portrait-mode selfies, the displays were edge to edge, and the A12 bionic chip was added to keep the battery from decreasing. They costed about $999+ and $1099+. -
iPhone XR
This iPhone was cheaper than the newer models and smaller than the XS & XS Max but still larger than the 7 & 8 Plus. The display wasn't as good as the XS & XS Max but it wasn't too noticeable. These models came in many different colors. They were priced at about $749+. -
iPhone 11
This iPhone features a 6.1in Liquid Retina display and comes in 6 different colors. The best feature on this iPhone is the second camera on the back that has wide & ultra-wide lenses. This iPhone is about $699+. -
iPhone 11 Pro & Pro max
These iPhone's feature not 2 but 3 cameras on the back, which includes wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses. The iPhone 11 Pro has a 5.8in Super Retina XDR display and the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the largest phone yet with a 6.5in display. They range from $999+ -
iPhone 12 & 12 Pro
There have been rumors about the upcoming iPhone's that include 3 different display sizes; 5.4, 6.1, & 6.7 inches. The rumors also say that the 6.7 version & the 6.1 version will be the higher-end devices, & the 5.4 version will the be lower-end device.
