First iPhone
The original iPhone was introduced by Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007 at the Macworld Conference & Expo. Steve Jobs said, "I have been looking forward to this for two and a half years", and "today, Apple is going to reinvent the phone." -
iPhone 3g
The iPhone 3G cost less than the original because of the plastic back, but also gained 3G connectivity, GPS, third-party apps, and an option for black or white. -
iPhone 3gs
Apple's third iPhone is almost identical to the iPhone 3g. Apple made the text pop with a silver color, made the phone faster, a better camera able to record videos,a voice control feature and the ability to cut, copy, and paste. -
iPhone 4
Apple’s first major change of the iPhone was a combination of stainless steel and glass. Apple also made a forward-facing camera with FaceTime, and a 5-megapixel camera with flash. -
iPhone 4s
Apple’s iPhone 4s looks exactly like the iPhone 4. The 4s got a better dual-antenna design, a faster processor, a 8-megapixel camera with video recording, and Siri. -
iPhone 5
Apple’s second major change of the iPhone was the iPhone 5. A new design with a larger 4-inch display made the iPhone 5 the thinnest and lightest iPhone so far. The iPhone 5 also included an improved 8-megapixel camera with a crystal lens cover and HD FaceTime camera at the front. Apple also redesigned its earphones. -
iPhone 5s
Apple’s iPhone 5S is almost identical to the iPhone 5. New colors make it different from the 5, and a gold option offered an alternative to the black or white. Apple also redesigned its home button for the first time with the iPhone 5S, adding a fingerprint Touch ID sensor to unlock the device just by putting your finger on the home button. -
iPhone 5c
The iPhone 5c debuted as an iPhone 5 with a plastic rear. That made it slightly cheaper, but it is exactly like the iPhone 5. While Apple had always stuck to black and white color for its iPhones, the iPhone 5C introduced some color to the range. -
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
Apple's iPhones 6 and 6 plus have one unmistakeable feature: size. Both have Retina HD displays with a curved body and NFC chips for Apple Pay, but the iPhone 6 Plus includes an optical image stabilization with its 8-megapixel camera.
