    In 1701 a mechanical seed drill was invented by Jethro Tull. This drill made farming easier and more efficient. This was a major reason for the possibility of the industrial revolution to happen. With the seed drill a surplus of food was available and this allowed for larger populations mass production and less survival based needs.

    Abraham Darby created a new way of smelting blocks using coal instead of charcoal. Coal burned much hotter allowing the metal to separate better from its waste. This produced cleaner more usable iron.

    John Kay invented the Flying Shuttle in 1736. This machine paved the way for automatic weaving machines in the past up til today. This machine would glide across the floor as it weaved the fabric togther. This impacted the revolution because it made fabrics and clothes more available which allowed for a larger population.

    Henry Cort's discovery of stirring iron in a furnace and not using charcoal allowed for all of the iron during the industrial revolution. This iron allowed for quality factories, locomotives, and machinery to be built during the revolution.

    In 1794 Eli whitney invented the cotton gin. This invention separated the good cotton product from the seeds and other impurities. This allowed the cotton production to increase massively and make clothes a cheaper product.
