Spinning Mule
The spinnig mule is a combination of "The spinning Jenny" and "The Water Frame". It was invented by Samuel Crompton. The spinning mule used four rollers to draw apart rovings, slender slivers of cotton. This would make it much easier to twist the yarn without breaking it like it would before. -

Reaper
The reaper was invented by Cyrus McCormick for the purpose of fast harvesting. Farmers weren't able to harvest more wheat than they wanted to beacuse of its 2-week rippening cycle. The reaper was able to cut down 10-12 acres of wheat per day, almost two weeks worth of harvesting by hand. Originally, the reaper was first sold in Virginia, but was later sold in the Midwest because of the flat, suited terrain that enabled better function.
