Teachers teach the students the alphabet if they do not know it already, and fine tune it for the first semester of 1st grade. -

The teachers focus on expanding the students' vocabulary and and improving their spelling, along with teaching them how to sound out small words. -
Improvement
The teachers focus on using the students' newly developed vocabulary to form sentences and learning the structures of sentences as well as attempting to read them. All year long. -
Forming
The Teachers build on the students vocbulary adding larging words and perfecting their sounding out technique in order for them to be able to spell these words. While simultaneously teaching students write full sentences. -
Creating
Teachers spend the first sememster teaching the rules of grammar, and showing students how to use "proper" grammar in their sentences. -
