Kathy Patterson was born
On January 27th 1947 Kathy Patterson was born. She is now 67 years old. Her parents were Robert and Franjesca. She has four siblings, Auntie Patty, Aunt Eilieen, and Uncles Dave and Tony. She has us call her Nana because that is italian for "grandma" and it honors her haritage. -

RDS-1 Wikipedia ArticleOn August 29th, 1949 the Soviet Union tested their first nuclear weapon codenamed "Joe 1" by the Americans or RDS-1 in Russia. The weapon was designed in the Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy and was made to mimic the implosion effects of the "FatMan" bomb dropped on Nagasaki. It was the first bomb test in the Soviets Atomic Bomb Project. This was significant to the Americans because they had thought that the Soviets would not develop a nuclear weapon until at least three years later. -

The U.S. tried to cover it up and say it was a weather plane off course but the plane crashed mostly intact and the Soviets quickly determained the lie. After two years, Powers and another American were exchanged for a Russian Col. that had been captured by U.S. inteligence. -

The Assassination of JFK

Shortly after that Lee Harvey Oswald was caught and arrested by police after shooting one and later convicted of Kennedy's murder. -

Shortly after Jenna was born, Kathy had another child, my uncle Dave. After Dave was born Kathy's boyfriend, Gary, who was the childrens father, left. -

On may 15th, 2000 Kathy's mother, Big Nana died of a heart failure at 3:00 Am in Columbia St. Mary's. This was a very important event in Kathy's life because she took her mother's death very hard. -
Kathy retires from work
On June 12th, 2012, Kathy officially retired from work as a receptionist at the East Side Health and Rehab. She had worked in that position for... years. -
Kathy has open heart surgery
On January 28th, 2013 Kathy had open heart surgery at St.Lukes. She had to have surgery because most of her arterys were extremly clogged.
