    Battle at Fort Utah
    The Battle at Fort Utah was a skirmish between the Timpanogos Tribe and remnants of the Nauvoo Legion at Fort Utah near modern-day Provo, Utah. The conflict started with three Mormons murdering a Timpanogos man called Old Bishop and ended with the death of 102 Timpanogos, execution of 50 and enslavement of nearly 50 Timpanogos prisoners.

    Gila Expedition - "Morehead War"
    The Gila Expedition, also known as the Morehead War, was an attack initiated by the California Militia upon the Yuma Indians from April 16, 1850, to September 16, 1850, with the intent of punishing the Yuma Indians for the Glanton Massacre. On April 16, 1850, 142 men set off on the expedition against the Yuma, but the military operation went badly and the expedition members were besieged until September 16th.

    The Dakota War of 1862, known as the Sioux Uprising, was an armed conflict between the United States Military and the Dakota Sioux. In 1862, when the government failed, yet again, to pay the annuity payments to the Dakota Sioux in Minnesota, along with the continued violation of a prior agreed-upon treaty, they attacked a settlement and killed upwards of 800 Americans, starting a two-year-long battle.

    The Colorado War was an armed conflict between the Kiowa, Comanche, Arapaho, and Cheyenne people versus the U.S. Army and Colorado militia. This dispute started due to the Cheyenne people finding 175 cattle wandering freely on the plains and taking them into their camps. Lt. George Eayre's report claimed the Cheyenne had purposefully stolen the cattle from the "whites."
    The dispute had all escalated from there.

    The Powder River War of 1865 also known as the Powder River Expedition, was a large military effort of the U.S. Army again the Sioux, Cheyenne, and Arapaho Indians in the Montana and Dakota Territories. American soldiers destroyed one Arapaho village and established Fort Connor, but was still considered a failure due to the defeat of the soldiers and failure to secure peace in the region.

    Battle at Little Bighorn
    The main perpetrator of the Battle at Little Bighorn was Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer, along with 600 troopers of the U.S. cavalry. General Custer and his band of troopers arrived at Little Bighorn Valley to subdue a village of "defiant" Indians and place them upon a reservation. The Sioux and Cheyenne didn't want to surrender their land, so they defended their land, killing nearly 300 U.S. soldiers and severely wounding 55.

    The Bannock War was a conflict that occurred on May 30, 1878, between the Bannock and Paiute Indians, and the U.S. military. This armed conflict took place in Idaho and Northeastern Oregon and was caused by "white" encroachment on Comas Prairie Lands which had been guaranteed to the Bannock Indians by treaty. This dispute ended in the United State's victory.

    The Battle of Wounded Knee, commonly referred to as the Wounded Knee Massacre, was the massacre of an estimated 200 Lakota people by the U.S. Army. This event was set in motion by the U.S. Army's 7th Cavalry surrounding a Lakota tribe known as the "Ghost Dancers" near Wounded Knee Creek and demanded they surrender all of their weapons. While this occurred, an argument between an Indian and a soldier caused a shot to be fired, and the massacre followed.

    The Battle of Sugar Point occurred on October 5 and 6, 1898, in an "obscure corner" of Minnesota, when nineteen Chippewa Indians fought seventy-seven soldiers of the U.S. Infantry in what has been dubbed the last Indian uprising in the United States. What caused this conflict was the frequent arrests of tribal members on minor charges along with witnesses and transporting them to federal courts far from the reservations for trial.
