Proclamation of 1763
According to www.ushistory.org "The British government did not want American colonists crossing the Appalachian Mountains and creating tension with the French and Native Americans there. The solution seemed simple. They issued the Royal Proclamation of 1763, which declared the boundaries of the thirteen colonies as the Appalachian Mountains". After the proclamation of 1763 was made the colonist didn't think that it was fair that they fought the war and didn't get anything in return. -
The stamp act
The stamp act was a reaction to the colonists crossing the proclamation line. The stamp act taxed things like newspapers, almanacs, pamphlets, broadsides, legal documents, dice, and playing cards. according to www.gilderlehrman.org King George put in place the Stamp Act to "to help pay for British troops stationed in the colonies during the Seven Years' War". To the British they do not think that it is a big deal because it only affects the rich. -
The Boston Massacre
A couple of the British troops were guarding the Customs House when the colonist started throwing snowballs and ice clunks and calling then names. The British solders started to get annoyed by all of the harassment. Then an unknown person yelled "fire" and the British started to fire. There are 4 intolerable acts. The Boston Port Act closed the port of Boston to all ships until the colonists paid for the tea they ruined. The Massachusetts Government Act gave the king the power to pick government officials. ensuring a fair trial for British officials who were charged a crime while upholding the law in Massachusetts. The Quartering Act forced the colonists to provide food, drink, housing, fuel, and transportation to British forces stationed in their town.

Battle of Yorktown
In the Battle of Yorktown the British troops surrendered to the colonists and Their french allies. This led to the British signing the Treaty of Paris in 1783.
