World War I started and this is a reason that the flu started with the bad hygenie of the soldiers and how close they all were. -

The Spanish Flu was first found in America in south west Kansas it was one of the first reported cases of influenza in the world and within a day 100 people were in the hospital. This was called the "First Wave" of the Spanish Flue. -

Victor Vaughn was probably the smartest and hardest working docter during the outbreak. He was a military surgeon looking for a cure. He would never find one but he found that it attacked people in there prime years. -
Spanish Flu in Fort Riley
Fort Riley was a 20,000 acre fort in Kansas with about 26,000 thousand soldiers and after Kansas citzens got it the soldiers stationed in Fort Riley got it too. -

The "Third Wave" was the most calm out of the three waves but it pretty much infected every area in the world that wasnt already infected. -
The Second Wave
The "Second Wave" of the Spanish Flu hit Northern France, Western Africa, and Boston the hardest. It hit other parts of northern America as well but non as bad as Boston. -

This was the deadliest month of the pandemic killing nearly 195,000 in America. America canceled Haloween it was so bad. New Zealand lost more people then they have in there history as a country. -
Transmisson
Docters came to the conclusion that it was spread through caughing and sneezing. They thought the only way to prevent it was to wash the inside of your nose with soap and water every morning and night. And then forcing your self to sneeze. -
World War I Ends
When World War I ended and the soldiers came home if they werent all ready sick odds are they would get sick. More people died due to the flu then the actual fighting. -
Spanish Flu in Philidelphia
When the flu hit Philly 75% of the docters were over seas so the people really didnt have the proper help they needed, 12,000 people died in the first five weeks. -
The Pandemic Ends
This was one of the last days were a death was reported bringing an end to the Pandemic. -

Around this time they estimated 21.5 millon people died during the whole pandemic.
